Partner Loyaan Egal spoke with The National Law Journal about his move to Morgan Lewis’s telecom, media, and technology practice. Loyaan, a former FCC official and national security advisor at the DOJ, shared how he plans to advise clients on privacy, data protection, and cybersecurity matters—particularly those intersecting with national security and supply-chain risk.
“What my experience has allowed me to see from the government perspective and working on some of the most important and complex issues of recent times, is to observe those who do it the best and those who are able to understand the risks,” Loyaan said, adding that includes “the regulatory risks, the changing landscapes that their clients are facing,” as well as clients’ business models.
