LONDON, July 15, 2024: Adding strength to the firm’s 170-member global investment management team, Morgan Lewis is pleased to welcome Ted Craig as a partner in London. Arriving from Paul Hastings, Ted advises on a wide range of fund-related matters across asset classes, with a focus on secondary transactions.

“Despite extraordinary circumstances these past few years, the global private markets show signs of continued growth, and our clients are increasingly looking for innovative products across the investment life cycle, particularly in the context of more specialized secondary strategies,” said Firm Chair Jami McKeon. “Ted, a skilled funds lawyer who has worked with major asset managers and private equity firms across multiple jurisdictions, further bolsters our strength and capabilities in a key market for investors.”

Ted advises clients on secondary fund transactions, including the sale and purchase of portfolios of private fund interests and general partner-led (GP-led) continuation vehicles. He also advises on preferred equity solutions, co-investments, complex fund-to-fund transactions, manager formation and investment, and the structuring and establishment of private funds.

“Ted is widely recognized in the UK market and has a deep understanding of its major players and deal dynamics,” said Timothy Levin, leader of the firm’s investment management practice. “His background, particularly as it relates to GP-led secondary transactions, fund formations, and representation of fund investors, builds on our strategic goal to expand our offerings in these areas.”

“Ted’s strong business and legal acumen, his collaborative nature, and his strong track record as a trusted advisor to clients make him a welcome addition to our team,” said Frances Murphy, managing partner of the firm’s London office.

Ted’s arrival follows that of private funds partner Leonora Shalet, who joined the firm in New York in June, and the partner trio of Mark Parise, Todd Zerega, and Betselot Zeleke, who joined in March across three offices along the East Coast.
