ABU DHABI, June 24, 2024: The Association of International Energy Negotiators (AIEN) has honored Morgan Lewis partner Jennifer Josefson with its Legacy Award in recognition of her commitment and contributions to the independent not-for-profit membership organization, which supports international energy negotiators through the provision of educational resources, including internationally recognized model contracts, a program of conferences, workshops, training courses, and networking opportunities.
Jennifer served as AIEN’s president from 2021 to 2022, leading both its name change from the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators and the expansion of AIEN’s energy scope, from petroleum to a broader encompassing global energy mandate as the last president of AIPN and the first president of AIEN. She also served on AIEN’s board of directors, was a founding regional director of AIEN’s CIS-FSU Chapter, and is a regular faculty member for AIEN’s contracting training courses.
Jennifer represents companies across the energy, infrastructure, and natural resources sector on international and cross-border transactions and projects in the Middle East, Central Asia, and Africa. She regularly advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, joint operating agreements, power purchase agreements, concessions, production sharing agreements, farm-ins, supply agreements, and service agreements.
