The EU Pay Transparency Directive will create a wide range of new pay transparency obligations for employers that, when implemented by member states, will apply across the EU with the aim of reducing the gender pay gap. These obligations will include requirements for employers to disclose pay data in response to requests from workers, comply with regular gender pay reporting obligations, take steps to remedy identified pay gaps, and pay compensation where equal pay rights or obligations have been breached.

Join us as we discuss aspects of the Directive, how international companies with EU operations can begin preparing for the new legislation and key takeaways to reap the benefits from fostering diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

TOPICS WILL INCLUDE:

  • Existing gender pay reporting obligations in the UK and France
  • An overview of the Directive’s impact on EU member states
  • Impact on individual rights to pay transparency
  • Enforcement provisions and possible penalties applicable to noncompliant organisations
  • Importance of gathering, analysing and successful communication of pay equity data
  • Navigating differences between national and EU-wide pay transparency obligations
  • Addressing the potential implications for further investigation and collective actions against international corporations doing business in the EU
