Scott R. Berman counsels clients in business law matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, financings, and compliance with securities laws. He advises clients ranging from emerging and high-growth businesses to Fortune 500 companies. Scott also has experience in financial services, investment management, and business operations through his prior work in management consulting and portfolio management. With an M.B.A. from The Wharton School, Scott leverages his experience and education to develop creative approaches for advising clients through various matters.
Scott serves as one of the lead associates on the Morgan Lewis COVID-19 Loan Program Task Force, working with this cross-practice team to advise clients and colleagues on all aspects of COVID-19 related federal loan programs, especially the Paycheck Protection Program.
Prior to attaining his J.D. and M.B.A., Scott worked for a Fortune 500 consulting company, where he helped clients in the financial services industry develop, implement, and execute strategic and operational initiatives. Scott has also served as the senior portfolio analyst for a charitable trust, leading stock selection, macro strategy, and fundamental analysis for the portfolio.
