A registered patent agent, Margaret Harney centers her practice on patent prosecution related to biotechnology and pharmaceutical matters. Her practice encompasses a broad range of subjects, including antibody therapeutics, manufacturing and purification of biologics, DNA/protein sequencing, and therapeutic methods. Margaret has experience assisting clients through the numerous phases of patent portfolio management from prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications, due diligence related to intellectual property acquisitions, to post-grant proceedings at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Prior to becoming a patent agent, Margaret received her B.A. in neuroscience from Wellesley College where she conducted research into mechanisms underlying affective disorders.
