Jaclyn Unis Whittaker defends companies and individuals in government and internal investigations, with a focus on anti-bribery and corruption, False Claims Act, and Anti-Kickback Statute matters. She has experience defending Foreign Corrupt Practices Act matters, including conducting investigations, negotiating resolutions, and complying with post-resolution reporting obligations. Jaclyn regularly counsels clients on the creation and implementation of compliance and anti-corruption programs. She also maintains an active litigation practice and has defended clients in complex litigation arising from government investigations and allegations of fraud.
Jaclyn represents a range of companies and individuals in civil and criminal matters before the US Department of Justice, the US Securities and Exchange Commission, state attorneys general, and other enforcement authorities. She is a member of the Philadelphia chapter of the Women’s White Collar Defense Association and the National Arab American Bar Association. Jaclyn is also a member of the firm’s Middle Eastern North African Lawyer Network.
Jaclyn maintains an active pro bono practice and volunteers for the HIAS division in Philadelphia and a number of voting rights organizations nationally. She has also represented clients in civil rights cases before the Third Circuit and the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Jaclyn worked as a securities litigation and white collar defense associate at an international law firm and clerked on the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
