A former federal prosecutor and US Marine Corps infantry officer, Harvey Bartle fights for clients in federal and state court litigation, and in government civil and criminal investigations. A fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, he has tried and arbitrated matters throughout the United States. Harvey represents pharmaceutical and product manufacturers, technology companies, retailers, and financial services companies in a broad range of complex civil matters, including public nuisance, False Claims Act, product liability, insurance coverage, intellectual property, and contract disputes. He is well-versed in federal multidistrict litigation, state coordinated actions, and state attorney general litigation.
In white collar matters, Harvey conducts internal investigations and represents publicly traded and privately held corporations as well as individuals in connection with US Department of Justice (DOJ), US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and state attorney general criminal investigations.
Before joining Morgan Lewis, Harvey served for eight years as an Assistant US Attorney in the District of New Jersey, where he prosecuted public corruption, government fraud, commercial bribery, money laundering, and cyber and tax crimes. During his last two years as an Assistant US Attorney, Harvey was the Attorney-in-Charge of the US Attorney’s Trenton office, where he led the day-to-day operations and oversaw all aspects of the office’s criminal investigations, prosecutions, and trials. After college, Harvey served for five years as an infantry officer in the US Marine Corps. His deployments spanned the globe, and his billets included platoon commander and company executive officer.
