Eric Meckley represents clients in a range of employment disputes in US federal and state courts, before administrative agencies, and in arbitration. Eric has experience in wage and hour class and collective actions related to the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). He also litigates claims involving workplace discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and failure to provide reasonable accommodation; and cases involving noncompetition, employee raiding, and trade secret issues. Eric is the labor and employment practice leader for the Silicon Valley and San Francisco offices.
Eric has tried cases to verdict before juries, judges, and arbitrators. In addition to fighting and defeating class certification in wage and hour lawsuits, he has experience filing and winning summary judgment motions in state and federal courts, and in arbitration.
In addition to his litigation practice, Eric regularly advises clients on state and federal employment laws, and helps them conduct internal compliance audits.
