Edwin Luk focuses on counseling Chinese companies on corporate matters including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and capital markets and private financing matters. He advises on securities regulation, ongoing regulatory compliance, debt and corporate restructuring, and other general corporate and business matters.
In addition to technology companies, Edwin works with companies across numerous other industries and sectors, including education, healthcare, retail, food and beverage, media and telecommunications, financial services, manufacturing, automotive, renewable energy, mining, and natural resources.
In the capital markets area, Edwin advises issuers and underwriters on initial public offerings on both the Main Board and the Growth Enterprise Market of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (SEHK). He also advises Hong Kong-listed companies and investment banks on a wide range of transactions including, takeovers, voluntary and mandatory general offers, rights issues, secondary placings, and convertible bonds.
Edwin also advises on China-based private company mergers and acquisitions, as well as other transactions involving portfolio companies of private equity funds in China and takeovers of public companies listed on the SEHK. He regularly advises leading private equity and venture capital funds on their investments and exits from companies in China.
