Ben Stango serves as legal counsel and trusted advisor to clients across a broad range of finance transactions. He advises public companies, private equity sponsors, venture capital firms, and privately held companies on debt financings, bond offerings, mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, restructurings, and related matters. As a member of the firm’s borrower finance team, Ben partners with chief financial officers, treasurers, directors of finance, heads of capital markets, general counsels, and other in-house lawyers to help them finance the future of their businesses.
Ben specializes in a wide array of finance matters, including syndicated credits with institutional lenders, leveraged acquisition and asset-based financings, account receivables facilities, and senior and mezzanine venture financings. His clients span across an array of industries, from retail to healthcare, with transaction sizes ranging from under $1 million to more than $3 billion. With an MBA from The Wharton School, Ben brings a unique perspective on business and law to serve his clients’ needs.
At the firm, Ben serves on the Philadelphia Associates Committee; the Environmental, Social, and Governance Working Group; and the Philadelphia Professional Recruiting Committee. He previously served on the Global Associates Committee, advising the Firm Chair and leadership team on associate matters.
Ben remains heavily engaged in Philadelphia’s civic community. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Support Center for Child Advocates, where he volunteers as a Child Advocate pro bono attorney, and serves as the co-chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Large Firm Associates Committee. Ben is also an advisor to numerous civic and political organizations throughout Philadelphia.
