Alex also advises on intellectual property law issues related to corporate transactions and represents clients in high-profile disputes before the German and European Union authorities and courts. He is fluent in German, English, French, and Italian.
Alex focuses on representing online retail companies, internet platforms, and entertainment and media companies in trademark clearance and litigation as well as in copyright disputes. He has acted for clients in a significant number of cutting-edge trademark and copyright matters before German Courts of Appeal and up to the German Federal Supreme Court (Bundesgerichtshof).
He has represented and continues to represent several high-tech companies and an industry association in litigation with German collecting societies on copyright levies for reproduction devices. He also represents retail and distribution clients in countries around the world doing business in Germany and the EU in trademark, design, and unfair competition matters.
Alex publishes and speaks regularly at seminars and conferences on copyright and trademark law.
