Partners Alison Tanchyk and Diana Cortes and of counsel Nicholas Gess provided their insights to Law360 for an article examining the expected increase in state attorneys general (AGs) activity under the second Trump administration.
The trio noted that expanded enforcement efforts will likely be seen in the areas of consumer protection, environmental regulation, labor issues, civil rights and social issues such as diversity and responsible governance. They also explained that the primary enforcement statute available to the states is the ability to prosecute allegedly unfair and deceptive acts and practices.
