PHILADELPHIA, March 28, 2024: As the nature of sports media distribution, programming, and revenue generation continues to face disruption, panelists at the 2024 Jeffrey S. Moorad Sports Law Journal Symposium at Villanova will share their views on these developments in a half-day program, Fast Forward: The Changing Landscape of Sports Media, taking place April 5 at the university’s John F. Scarpa Hall.
Morgan Lewis partner Jeff Moorad, chairman of Morgan Lewis’s global sports industry team and founder of this annual event, will join a discussion on changes in production and programming and the impact on regional sports networks. Additionally, partner Allison Gargano will moderate a panel featuring representatives from the four major sports leagues sharing their views on the changing sports media environment, and partner Dana Gross will participate in a discussion exploring players’ views on the same topic. The event will conclude with a conversation among sports media personalities on the changes they are seeing in the industry.
Morgan Lewis advises clients in the sports industry on the complex management and business challenges facing professional sports teams and leagues; collegiate athletic programs; conferences and governing bodies; media companies and broadcasters; marketers and advertisers; stadium, arena, and other venue owners; retailers; ticketing companies; gaming operators; online platforms; and their investors.
Tickets for the in-person symposium are available through the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law. Pennsylvania CLE credits are available upon registration.
