Partner Daryl Landy spoke with HR Magazine about a new statewide regulation that requires California state employees, healthcare workers and others in high-risk workplaces to either show proof of vaccination or complete regular testing. Daryl recommended that affected employers immediately explain the new requirements to employees, prepare the HR department to handle accommodation requests, create a standard process for collecting and storing vaccine information, and provide information for unvaccinated employees on how and where they can complete testing.
