With a broad academic and working background in organic and medicinal chemistry, Victor P. Ghidu, Ph.D., focuses his practice on patent counseling strategies, including patent portfolio inception and prosecution, patent portfolio due diligence, licensing and transactions, and patent disputes. He advises both life sciences and material sciences companies on an array of technologies pertaining to the chemical and biotechnology arts, including small molecule drugs, natural product and antibody-drug conjugates, radionuclide delivery ligands, protein/peptide chemistry, medicinal formulations, specialty chemicals and formulations, polymers, organic light emitting diodes, fiber optics, and medical devices.
Victor regularly drafts and prosecutes patent applications in these fields, and counsels clients on a variety of patent life cycle management strategies. He also counsels clients on patent licensing and purchase agreements, as well as agreements relating to product and service supply, collaboration, research, consulting, and material transfer.
Victor brings a wealth of experience to his practice having previously worked as a research scientist in organic and medicinal chemistry, as well as a technical sales specialist at a large multinational specialty chemicals corporation.
