Stephen P. Hall is a veteran trial lawyer and litigator who represents chemical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, manufacturing, financial services, and other companies in regulated industries. His first and second-chair trial experience, coupled with his experience as a Certified Public Accountant, helps Stephen counsel clients with a business mindset through high-stakes commercial disputes and product liability cases. Stephen also has experience in commercial and consumer arbitration and has led the defense in complex class actions, fraud cases, false claims, and unfair business practice litigation. He has a deep understanding of internal investigations, particularly in relation to government enforcement, discrimination, and regulatory compliance matters.
Stephen is a leader in the legal community who serves in prominent roles across various bar associations. He is currently a member of the Boston Bar Foundation Board of Trustees and previously served as the Foundation’s President. Stephen also previously held the position of President of the Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association—a statewide organization committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the legal profession. Under two administrations, Stephen has played a key role in screening candidates for judicial appointments to the Massachusetts Judicial Nominating Commission. He is deeply committed to pro bono efforts, helping organizations such as Kids In Need of Defense and the Innocence Project with criminal appeals involving claims of factual innocence.
