Matthew Oakley is part of a team that focuses on diverse transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, spinoffs, and strategic alliances. Other areas of work are matters involving finance, restructuring, tax, and securities, including public and private equity, and debt offerings. Matt advises clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies and investment banks to emerging market companies.
While attending law school, Matt served as a managing editor of outside articles for the Jeffrey S. Moorad Sports Law Journal at Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law. His note, “Sunday Ticket: The Ninth Circuit’s Expansion of the Quick Look Test Could Incidentally Help Fans Watch More Football for Less Money” was selected for publication in the Jeffrey S. Moorad Sports Law Journal’s 29th Volume. Prior to law school, Matt was the team captain of Colgate University’s Division I Men’s Rowing Team and represented the United States National Team at an international collegiate championship in Shanghai, China.
