Joseph C. Ragaglia partners with many of the largest national and multinational corporations, serving as the primary counsel in the development of strategic business and legal solutions to complex labor and employment issues. As the leader of the firm’s US labor/management relations practice, Joe provides employers with strategic representation related to high risk union organizing campaigns, corporate campaigns, contract negotiation and administration (collective bargaining and arbitration), and matters before the US National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). He also advises clients on the complex labor implications of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), sales, strikes, decertifications, plant closings, and relocations.
Joe represents employers in the traditional manufacturing, telecommunications, retail, private equity, energy, oil and gas, healthcare, and construction industries in all aspects of labor and employment law proceedings before US and state courts and administrative agencies, and counsels clients on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
In addition to litigation matters, he drafts employment policies and agreements and advises employers on day-to-day labor and employment relationships. His practice also includes training managers and supervisors on positive employee relations, collective bargaining, contract administration, arbitration, and general labor management relations.
Joe is the lateral hiring partner for the firm’s global labor and employment practice.
He frequently speaks on topics such as trends in labor management relations, pending labor legislation, NLRB developments, collective bargaining, and employment laws.
