Eric C. Kim has a diverse practice representing employers in complex litigation involving wage and hour, systemic discrimination, whistleblower retaliation, and hostile work environment claims, as well as helping employers obtain injunctive relief in high-profile restrictive covenant and trade secret cases. Using his experience as a litigator, Eric also counsels clients on employment-related matters in connection with mergers, acquisitions, investments, and joint venture transactions.
Eric’s clients operate in a wide group of industry sectors that include financial services, retail, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, sports, and technology industries. In addition to his litigation practice, he counsels clients on how to avoid or prepare for litigation and provides practical advice on matters such as employee discipline and termination; preventing and investigating harassment, discrimination, and whistleblower claims; and employee recruiting and hiring practices. A significant part of Eric’s practice involves assisting clients with due diligence and risk assessments of employment-related issues arising from transactional matters. His experience also includes conducting internal wage and hour audits to help clients properly classify employees as exempt or nonexempt, as well as internal whistleblower complaint investigations.
Eric has a strong commitment to pro bono work. He provides pro bono counseling and training on various employment law matters for non-profit organizations without in-house legal counsel.
