Celia Calano Bologna is part of a team of litigators that advises businesses and individual clients in a variety of industries in commercial and complex civil litigation, white collar and government investigations, and regulatory enforcement actions. In particular, Celia has experience representing banks and other financial institutions in government investigations and supervisory examinations by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and state attorneys general in matters involving federal and state consumer protection laws. Drawing on this enforcement experience, Celia advises financial services clients on compliance with consumer protection laws.
Celia maintains an active pro bono practice focused on capital punishment and civil rights.
While in law school, Celia worked in the Communications and Technology Law Clinic to advocate on behalf of civil rights and children’s privacy groups and served as executive articles editor for the Georgetown Law Journal. She also interned for the Law Department of the New York Appellate Division, First Department; Judge Louise Flanagan of the US District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina; and Judge Gail Rice of the Family Court of Westchester County.
