Brendan Killeen primarily counsels and represents employers in the financial services, airline, and retail industries in federal, state, and local discrimination and wage and hour class and collective actions and individual plaintiff litigations. Brendan has a nationwide practice in which he focuses on managing large-scale, complex litigations that often challenge a company’s core business practices. Brendan’s practice also comprises a wide range of employment litigation, as he handles single plaintiff litigation in court, arbitration, and at the administrative agency level.
In addition to defending companies in litigation, Brendan counsels clients on day-to-day employment matters such as compliance with the FLSA and state and city wage and hour requirements, internal investigations of employment misconduct, and hiring and discharge. He has conducted a number of comprehensive internal wage and hour audits to assist clients in properly classifying individuals as exempt/nonexempt employees or independent contractors/employees and to revise other wage and hour practices as necessary. Brendan also works with clients in planning and implementing the restructuring and redeployment of their workforces in corporate initiatives and reductions in force.
