With Low-Earth Orbit Data Centers, Privacy Risks Go Beyond Space, Bloomberg Law

Partner Jared Wilkerson and associate Collin Hopkins co-authored a Bloomberg Law Insight discussing the privacy risks associated with low Earth orbit data centers.

The authors note that because “personal data in space isn’t governed by the laws of any one nation, and international space law is still in its infancy, space corporations must determine which privacy systems apply to their operations.” The article discusses international and US federal, state, and local laws, as well as existing industry standards, that may apply to low Earth orbit databases.
