NEW YORK, January 9, 2025 – Morgan Lewis advised American Electric Power (AEP) on a definitive agreement for the acquisition of a 19.9% equity interest in the company’s Ohio and Indiana & Michigan Transmission Companies (Transcos) by a 50/50 partnership between investment funds managed by KKR, a leading global investments firm, and Public Sector Pension Investment Board, one of Canada’s largest pension investors, for $2.82 billion.
AEP aims to improve customers' lives with reliable, affordable power by investing $54 billion from 2025 through 2029 to enhance service for customers and support the growing energy needs of its communities.
