October 08, 2024

BEIJING, October 8, 2024: Building on Morgan Lewis’s presence in China and its capabilities in the full range of internal and governmental investigations and disputes, the firm welcomes partner Bingna Guo. Arriving from White & Case, Bingna represents global companies, audit committees, and individuals in cross-border investigations and enforcement actions, advises on comprehensive compliance programs and training, and handles complex disputes matters.

“The global regulatory environment is becoming progressively challenging for clients to navigate, with increasingly rigorous anti-corruption requirements and other related compliance issues that present risk for most companies with global operations,” said Firm Chair Jami McKeon. “Bingna’s deep experience and presence in China will be a significant resource for our global white collar team, providing an on-ground touchpoint for complex, multijurisdictional matters.”

Leveraging her litigation, investigations, and compliance experience in Chinese, US, and cross-border matters, Bingna supports technology, manufacturing, and other companies in complex regulatory and compliance matters, including anti-corruption investigations, bribery, accounting fraud, data privacy and protection, trade compliance, antitrust, anti-money laundering, crisis management, and complex commercial litigation, including international arbitrations and mediations.

“Multinational companies operating in China require increasingly sophisticated cross-border teams with in-depth knowledge of both the Chinese and US legal systems who can advise on compliance frameworks, mitigation of corruption risks, and management of multijurisdictional disputes,” said Troy S. Brown, leader of Morgan Lewis’s global litigation practice. “With an entrepreneurial mindset, a natural drive for collaboration, and strong connections throughout the region, Bingna will be a natural fit not only for our litigation team but for our firm, and a true asset to our clients.”

“At Morgan Lewis, we pride ourselves on delivering innovative, cross-border legal solutions, and Bingna’s experience in cross-border compliance, regulatory, investigations, and complex disputes enhances our ability to serve clients in key sectors like technology, financial services, and life sciences,” said Beijing Office managing partner Ning Zhang. “Her practice aligns perfectly with our Beijing office’s ethos of blending local insights with global strategies to help clients navigate complex legal landscapes."

Morgan Lewis continues to expand its global litigation team this year with the arrival of several partners across our disputes practices, including white collar litigation and government investigations, intellectual property (IP), class action and product liability, and consumer banking and financial services. They include IP litigators Hiroshi Sheraton, Dr. Alexander R. Klett, and Dr. Christoph Mikyska, who joined in London in September and Munich in July, respectively; Alice S. Hrdy, a former Consumer Financial Protection Bureau senior official in Washington, DC, who joined the firm in July; financial services litigator Stacie Hartman in Chicago in August; consumer class action and product liability partners April N.
