In an article about Morgan Lewis’s strategic partnership with Thomson Reuters to collaborate on new legal products driven by artificial intelligence (AI), Colleen Nihill, chief knowledge management and practice services officer, told The American Lawyer that the firm will be working with Thomson Reuters “on a whole suite of AI-powered tools.” Colleen said that she believes Morgan Lewis was selected because its “depth and breadth across multiple geographies” make it “well-suited to all different use cases.”
Remarking on the partnership, partner Dion Bregman, head of the firm’s AI Task Force, explained that law firms are not “set up to make [multimillion-dollar] investments like some of these vendors.” He noted that Morgan Lewis will be able to “see behind the curtain” in its work with Thomson Reuters. “[T]o have impact on the direction it takes is very beneficial to us,” said Dion.
