NEW YORK, November 16, 2023: The American Lawyer named Morgan Lewis the Regional Litigation Department of the Year for Pennsylvania at the publication’s annual Industry Awards gala, held November 15 in New York.
It is the second year in a row the firm has won the Pennsylvania regional litigation award. This year, the litigation practice was recognized for its consistent record of success in a variety of cases, from winning a complete defense verdict for DaVita in the first criminal jury trial alleging that employee nonsolicitation agreements violated the Sherman Antitrust Act, to securing the release of pro bono client Ricky Warner, who spent 35 years in prison due to a wrongful first-degree murder conviction.
Morgan Lewis was also a finalist for Best Law Firm Business Team for its record of delivering exceptional client service through the use of flexible and innovative pricing models and metrics; Best Client–Law Firm for its partnership with DaVita; and Best Provider Collaboration for its work with DaVita’s trial team.
