Partners Michael Jones and Zachary Johns are quoted in a Global Competition Review (GCR) article about the response to the US Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC’s) proposed non-compete ban. Mike and Zak spoke with the publication following a public forum on the proposal.
Mike noted that as the FTC reads through public feedback, it likely will find well-developed, thoughtful comments of most use.
“What the FTC is looking to get, I think, and what will be most helpful to them are long, well written, highly cited comments that will really cause them to think about what they're doing,” he said.
Zak noted that the FTC has taken a “ready, fire, aim” approach to the proposal.
During the comment period, many are trying to understand “what they [the FTC] are trying to do and potential ramifications and scope of what it is they're proposing,” he said.
