Partner Kelly Gibson’s previous quotes were cited by The Corporate Counsel about the US Security and Exchange Commission’s (SEC’s) view of materiality and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) disclosures.
“If you’re making a statement about ESG the SEC is going to consider it to be material. . . I know that’s a blanket generalization, but at least from what I’m seeing that’s not a point to argue with the SEC,” Kelly said.
