DALLAS, HOUSTON, August 1, 2022: Three Morgan Lewis partners have been honored by Texas Lawyer as part of its 2022 Texas Legal Awards. The annual awards highlight the work and achievements of lawyers across Texas who have made an impact on the legal profession in a range of categories.
The following partners were named in this year’s awards:
- Janice Davis, managing partner of the Dallas office, was named among the “Most Effective Dealmakers.” Janice advises on commercial transactions including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), joint ventures, private placements, alliance arrangements, and management and leveraged buyouts. Janice also has a particular interest in guiding clients through the formation and financing of early stage and emerging growth companies.
- Michelle Pector was named among the “Best Mentors.” Michelle is co-chair of Morgan Lewis’s energy litigation practice and head of the firm’s ML Women initiative, where she pioneered new virtual programming and helped launch the Latin America Women Lawyer Network. Michelle also actively mentors the firm’s litigation associates in her roles as firmwide co-chair of litigation training and course planner and leading faculty member for the firm’s Trial Academy.
- Thomas Cullen Wallace was named among lawyers who are “On the Rise.” Cullen defends employers in US federal and state courts and before the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the US Department of Labor (DOL). Cullen also handles disputes related to the misappropriation of trade secrets and the enforcement of restrictive covenants. He is active in the Houston pro bono community, serving on the board of the Houston Volunteer Lawyer Program.
