DOT Floats EV Charging Rule as Regulatory Gaps Linger, Law360

Partner Levi McAllister spoke with Law360 about a recent proposal from the US Department of Transportation to standardize the development and maintenance of electric vehicle charging stations. “The administration wants a national network of chargers in the truest sense of the term, meaning they want chargers located in every state, equidistant from one another, and available to all,” Levi said.

“[So] people can feel comfortable that if they have an electric vehicle, they can charge it at any charger, [and] that they don't have to find a particular charger that has a certain speed or a certain connector.”
