WASHINGTON, DC, April 1, 2021: Morgan Lewis welcomes Sergio F. Oehninger as a litigation partner resident in the firm’s Washington, DC, office. Sergio represents multinational corporations across industries and borders on complex insurance litigation, coverage, and risk management issues. He arrives from Hunton Andrews Kurth.

Sergio advises companies in the financial services, retail, energy, technology, real estate, construction, and hospitality industries, among others, on evolving risks and insurance policies covering a diverse range of potential exposures, from cyber and data breaches and commercial general liability policies to occurrence-based claims-made policies and those covering surety bond risks. Sergio also counsels corporate clients doing business in Latin America on cross-border exposures and risk transfers in connection with key transactions, projects, operations, products, and services.

Sergio joins a recognized nationwide team of product liability, tort environmental, and policyholder insurance lawyers that was named a Law360 Insurance Group of the Year in 2020. In the firm’s Washington litigation practice, his arrival follows those of partners Sandra Moser and Robin Nunn, former chief of the US Department of Justice’s Fraud Section and a financial services litigator with in-house counsel experience, respectively, who arrived last fall.
