Morgan Lewis partner Eleanor Pelta was quoted in a Bloomberg Law article about the visa application backlog caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. In the piece, she discussed the economic ramifications. “The result of that is people are losing their jobs,” said Eleanor. Adding that in many instances, “the employer is doing what they can, whether through unpaid leaves of absence and ultimately they’re being terminated because there’s no guarantee of when the employment authorization card is going to come through.”
