NEW YORK, November 28, 2017: Morgan Lewis today welcomes veteran lawyer Keith L. Krasney as a partner in the firm’s structured transactions practice, resident in the New York office. Mr. Krasney advises clients on all aspects of secondary market transactions involving mortgage loans, including residential- and commercial mortgage-backed securities, mortgage financing, loan sales and purchases, financings of master servicing rights, and risk retention financing facilities. He arrives from another global law firm, where he chaired the securitization group.

Mr. Krasney’s experience encompasses a broad assortment of securitization transactions, including public and private offerings of asset-backed securities, resecuritizations, trade receivable securitizations, net interest margin securities, credit card receivables, and collateralized debt obligations.

“Keith’s extraordinarily diverse background in structured transactions adds depth and breadth to our already market-leading team,” said Firm Chair Jami McKeon. “He is a trusted adviser to clients engaged in complex transactions requiring the highest level of proficiency.”

Mr. Krasney represents both lenders and borrowers in warehousing arrangements, repurchase agreements, loan facilities, and related asset refinancings, as well as the purchase and sale of performing and nonperforming loans in secondary market transactions. He advises finance and insurance industry clients, hedge funds, and private equity funds, and he works with student loan issuers on restructuring their previously issued securities. He also provides advice on legislative and regulatory developments.
