American Bar Association Honors Morgan Lewis for Pro Bono Legal Business Contributions

NEW YORK, April 10, 2017: A leader in pro bono service, Morgan Lewis received the distinguished National Public Service Award from the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association on Friday, April 7, 2017.

The firm was nominated to receive the honor, which recognizes its longstanding efforts to offer a wide range of critical business law pro bono services to microenterprises and nonprofits that serve communities in need, by the National Network of Business Law Pro Bono Providers.

Over the years, Morgan Lewis has partnered with the New Jersey Program of Pro Bono Partnership, The Law Project of the Chicago Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights, the Justice & Diversity Center of the Bar Association of San Francisco, Lawyers Alliance of New York, and Lawyers Clearinghouse, among many other organizations to offer these invaluable services. In 2016, the firm provided legal services to 1,834 pro bono clients, of which approximately half were nonprofit organizations and low income entrepreneurs.
