Fintech 2025: France, Chambers

2025年03月25日

Hubert de Vauplane and Hugo Bordet co-authored a Chambers practice guide on the evolution, regulation, and state of the Fintech market in France, discussing topics including the Law to Secure and Regulate the Digital Space (Loi visant à sécuriser et réguler l’espace numérique, or SREN Act), the Digital Operational Resilience Act implementation, and the Financial Stability Board peer review.

The article also provides a general overview of the country’s Fintech landscape.

“Concerning the broader fintech ecosystem, there are presently around 800 active fintech companies in France,” the authors write. “France’s attractiveness is enhanced by various factors, such as the support of regulatory agencies and public authorities for the fintech industry, the quality of French engineers, and the wide network of start-up incubators and accelerators. France’s attractiveness is also enhanced by the organization of numerous forums, such as the Paris Fintech Forum, the Paris Blockchain Week Summit, and the ACPR-AMF Fintech Forum.”
