S&P Global Market Intelligence quoted partner Pamela Wu about the funds earmarked by the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 for manufacturers of electrolyzer and fuel cell equipment. The federal spending is in line with the US Department of Energy’s Hydrogen Energy Earthshot goal to reduce the cost of green hydrogen.
“Like many of these other funding announcements, they do it in phases. They don’t want to dole out the entirety in one tranche, they would rather see what comes back and then continue those efforts a couple years down the road,” Pamela said.
