NEW YORK, March 11, 2022: Morgan Lewis has been honored by ALM’s Legalweek in two categories at the 2022 Leaders in Tech Law Awards in New York City. The firm’s eData practice was named Tech-Enabled Litigation Department of the Year, while the knowledge management and practice services team took home the Most Innovative Operations Team of the Year title.
“Both of these honors recognize the members of Morgan Lewis who support the firm with research, data management, knowledge tools, and digital transformation,” Firm Chair Jami McKeon said. “To us, innovation is more than a buzzword. It means developing new tools, processes, and systems to best meet our clients’ needs. The cumulative investment of time, technology, and people has elevated our client service, and this outside recognition is a welcome additional validation of that investment.”
The Tech-Enabled Litigation Department of the Year recognition honors the eData practice’s development of LATHOS, a digital tool developed in-house that enables lawyers, case teams, and clients to objectively evaluate the performance of review lawyers managing document reviews. The tool proved to be a true differentiator for the firm while working remotely.
The Most Innovative Operations Team of the Year recognition honors the firm’s cross-functional knowledge management and practice services team, which has created optimal operational excellence tools enabling the firm’s lawyers to contribute their subject-matter experience and benefit from improved tools and process-management solutions.
The firm was also a finalist in the Innovators of the Year category for the development by Timothy Levin, global leader of the firm’s investment management practice, and Chief Knowledge Management & Practice Services Officer Colleen Nihill of ML Fund Studio to better serve investment management clients.
