Morgan Lewis Recognized in Deals of the Year at TMT M&A Awards EMEA 2023

LONDON, February 2, 2024: TMT Finance featured Morgan Lewis in two of its Deals of the Year at the TMT M&A Awards EMEA 2023. The awards recognize the leading advisors, investors, and dealmakers involved in telecommunications, media, and technology (TMT) mergers and acquisitions across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

At the February 1 awards ceremony in London, Morgan Lewis was recognized in two winning deals:

• Europe Tower Deal of the Year for United Group: The firm represented TAWAL Europe Holdings S.à.r.l., an affiliate of Saudi Telecom Company, on its acquisition of United Group’s telecommunications towers business in Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia, Slovenia, and Croatia.
• MEA TMT Deal of the Year for Zain Iraq: Morgan Lewis advised TASC Towers in connection with the sale leaseback of the Zain Group’s passive physical infrastructure of 4,968 tower portfolio in Iraq.

The firm was also shortlisted for Europe Tower Deal of the Year for GD Towers, wherein Morgan Lewis represented global digital infrastructure investment firm DigitalBridge Group Inc. on the antitrust and foreign direct investment aspects of its acquisition of a 51% ownership stake in GD Towers.

Partner Anastasia Dergacheva was also a finalist for TMT Deal Advisory Rising Star in recognition of her high-profile work in the European and Middle Eastern TMT space.
