NEW YORK, March 16, 2023: Benchmark Litigation honors partner Nicole Buffalano with two awards by naming her Labor & Employment Litigator of the Year and an Impact Case Award winner as part of its 2023 USA Awards. The annual awards recognize distinguished litigators and their firms from around the country for their recent work. Nicole’s dual honors were in recognition for her work with the US Soccer Federation in collective bargaining negotiations that led to historic equal pay agreements between the federation and players associations representing its women’s and men’s national teams.
Nicole’s practice focuses primarily on traditional labor matters and the National Labor Relations Act. She represents clients in collective bargaining negotiations, arbitrations, and other collective bargaining matters, and in proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board, including unfair labor practice proceedings and union elections.
Award winners are determined by feedback from peers and clients in addition to review of submissions. Nicole and other honorees were recognized in a ceremony on March 15 in New York City.
