Keir Baker advises clients on complex commercial disputes in the English courts and in international arbitration. He has experience in matters before the English High Court and in arbitration disputes under the rules of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and the DIFC-LCIA Arbitration Centre. Keir also advises clients on corporate governance and regulatory compliance, with a focus on investigations and regulatory enforcement issues, including data privacy. The Legal 500 notes that clients consider Keir to be “accomplished beyond his years” and describe his work as “truly remarkable.”
Keir has represented institutional shareholders of UK-listed companies in complex securities litigation. He has acted on a number of market-leading claims under Section 90A of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, including cases in which the English courts have considered novel questions of law relating to that provision.
Keir was previously seconded to Morgan Lewis’s Dubai and Abu Dhabi offices. During this time, he advised regional and international clients on a variety of matters under the laws of the United Arab Emirates, the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), and the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM).
