Ashley Lynam is a skilled litigator and entrepreneurial advocate serving clients ranging from family-owned businesses to Fortune 500 companies. Known for her business acumen and strategic thinking, Ashley handles all aspects of litigation across the full range of corporate and contract disputes, representing businesses, boards, and executives facing claims of corporate misconduct, trade secret misappropriation, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, and RICO claims. Ashley also manages the institutional response to emerging crises, oversees complex internal investigations, and counsels company leadership in negotiations with federal regulators.
Ashley works closely with an array of companies and clients in high-stakes, bet-the-company litigation and intensive investigations. She handles the investigation, prosecution, and defense of claims for high-profile commercial organizations, publicly traded companies, board members and C-suite executives, sports teams, startups, technology companies, pharmaceutical and life science companies, educational institutions, and organizations prioritizing public and stakeholder trust. She is known for vigorously protecting client confidentiality while providing aggressive representation.
As part of her counseling services, Ashley guides companies through negotiations with the US Department of Justice, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Securities and Exchange Commission, Federal Trade Commission, Food and Drug Administration, the Department of Education, and the Department of Energy.
Prior to entering private practice, Ashley spent five years as an assistant district attorney in the Special Victims Unit of the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office.
Active in the Philadelphia area community, Ashley serves on several boards and committees, and maintains close ties with Villanova University and the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law School. Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ashley was the youngest ever and first woman to serve as chair of another Philadelphia-based law firm.
