Andrew B. White

Partner

With over 30 years of experience, Andrew White’s corporate transactional practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and private equity investments with a particular emphasis on investments and other transactions in the sports industry. From providing strategic and structuring counseling at the inception of a deal to leading negotiations and other critical steps through to closing, Andrew serves as a trusted advisor to his clients. He is a co-leader of the firm’s sports industry practice and previously served as the leader of the firm’s Boston corporate practice. Before joining the firm, Andrew was a managing director at a leading Wall Street global investment bank, an experience that gives him a unique perspective to the business and financial aspects of M&A and private equity transactions.

As a key member of the Firm’s Sports Practice, Andrew has represented sports franchises and leagues in a variety of sports-related transactions, including M&A and purchases and sales of minority ownership interests.

Andrew also worked on Wall Street serving as a Managing Director for Credit Suisse. That experience allows him to bring a unique perspective to the business and financial aspects of M&A and private equity transactions.

  • Spring Lake Equity Partners in a series of acquisition and investment transactions, including control investments in One Door, Astadia, and Meteor Learning
  • A US focused real estate private equity fund in several transactions, including its material investment in a fully-integrated multi-family acquisition, development and management company, and its disposition of debt and equity securities in a REIT which owns and manages multi-family communities across the US
  • Palladin Consumer Retail Partners in its acquisition of a portfolio of Pure Barre studios in the New York metropolitan area
  • GSO Capital Partners in its sale of A.T. Cross Company, a more than 150-year-old maker of fine writing instruments and related accessories
  • Ares Capital Corporation in a series of acquisition and investment transactions
  • Tudor Growth Equity, the private equity arm of global investment firm Tudor Investment Corporation, in a series of acquisition and investment transactions
  • Sandbridge Capital in its acquisition of a New York–based hedge fund
  • AIG Highstar Capital, a private equity arm of insurance giant AIG, in its sale of the Southern Star pipeline and its acquisition with DLJ Merchant Banking of American Ref-Fuel Company
