The new US administration’s efforts to reshape the federal government include a substantial change in federal environmental priorities and policies. In this program, we will address the broad range of executive orders that seek to significantly change how the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and other executive agencies tasked with implementing our nation’s environment laws conduct business.
We also will discuss noteworthy regulatory changes, such as the administration’s Interim Final Rule rescinding the regulations setting forth the requirements for compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act. Finally, we will address the administration’s shift away from the prior administration’s environmental priorities, including climate change and environmental justice, to the EPA administrator’s pillars and “Powering the Great American Comeback” Initiative.
