Alborz (Al) Hassani represents clients through all stages of complex civil and criminal litigation and government and internal investigations.  He handles all phases of litigation for clients in a variety of industries. Al also maintains an active pro bono practice representing clients whose civil rights have been violated.

While in law school, Al worked at a national law firm, was a member of the Advanced Trial Team, and served as a notes editor on the University of Illinois Law Review. He also externed for Eric I. Long, Magistrate Judge of the US District Court for the Central District of Illinois.

  • Key member of trial team in the first criminal no-poach jury trial in the United States, resulting in a complete defense verdict on all counts
  • Counsel for defense of Biometric Information Protection Act (“BIPA”) consumer class actions in Illinois and privacy litigation
  • Successfully argued in federal district court for immediate release of immigrant detainees due to COVID-19 outbreak at prison facility
  • Conducted a variety of internal investigations
