Stephen LaBrecque focuses his practice on antitrust and competition matters, including mergers and acquisitions, antitrust litigation, and government investigations. Stephen represents clients before the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the US Department of Justice (DOJ), state attorneys general, and in federal and state courts. He has worked with clients in a variety of industries, including education, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and technology.
Stephen has extensive experience representing clients in connection with contested mergers before both the FTC and DOJ. He has advised buyers, sellers, and divestiture buyers throughout the regulatory approval process, including responding to Second Requests and Civil Investigative Demands, drafting written advocacy to regulatory agencies, and engaging in merger litigation in both federal and administrative court.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Stephen was an associate at another global law firm. During law school, he served as a judicial intern for Judge Mark G. Mastroianni in the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Stephen also served as a senior editor for the Boston College Law Review.
