Sean K. McMahan guides clients through complex employee benefit litigation. With an emphasis on representing corporate clients, plan sponsors, and fiduciaries in Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) class action litigation, Sean handles disputes involving excessive fees, employer stock, ESOPs, retiree benefits, Title II–based defined benefit pension plans, and individual benefits. He is a published author and speaker on ERISA litigation and co-chair of the Reporting and Disclosure Subcommittee of the ABA’s Labor and Employment Section.
Sean contributes to the Fiduciary Responsibility Subcommittee of the Labor and Employment Section of the ABA. He started his legal career as an associate in the Atlanta office of a national law firm. Before becoming a lawyer, Sean served approximately 10 years in the US Air Force.
