Michael E. Lignowski represents corporate clients across a wide range of employment issues. His practice encompasses employment discrimination, wrongful discharge, and National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) litigation, as well as wage and hour compliance and other labor and employment law disputes. He also provides advice about general personnel issues. Michael represents employers in unfair labor practice litigation before the NLRB, labor arbitrations, contract negotiations, and on union organizing campaigns.
Clients also seek Michael’s counsel when developing and implementing positive employee relations policies and practices. His representations also include working with an international petroleum company in a traditional labor case.
In addition to his litigation and counseling work, Michael frequently speaks on such labor and employment topics as union avoidance, sexual harassment, the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). He holds certification in Professional Human Resource Management and as a Senior Professional in Human Resources.
