Mark F. Parise advises clients on a range of governance, regulatory compliance, and transactional issues involving mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), closed-end funds, private equity, and hedge funds. With a comprehensive background and in-depth knowledge of fiduciary obligations, securities regulation, and issues arising under the Investment Company Act and Investment Advisers Act, Mark counsels a wide scope of clients including independent directors of some of the largest fund complexes, registered investment companies, private funds, and investment advisers.
Mark has a long history of negotiating material service contracts and possesses a deep understanding of director and officer liability at both the state and federal level. He also provides counsel on related indemnification and insurance matters, including director and officer liability insurance coverage analysis and dispute resolution.
Beyond his private practice, Mark has a strong pro bono practice focused on military veterans. He has served as an accredited representative of veterans before the US Department of Veterans Affairs and has been recognized by the New York State Bar Association as an Empire State Counsel Honoree for his pro bono work on behalf of veterans.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mark was a partner at another international law firm.
