Lauren West advocates for employers in US federal and state court litigation, arbitrations, and before administrative agencies against a wide variety of employment-related claims. In addition to representing employers in adversarial proceedings, Lauren regularly counsels clients on litigation-avoidance strategies and assists employers navigate federal and state employment laws, including Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the National Labor Relations Act, the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, and the Texas Labor Code.
In Lauren’s counseling practice, she routinely assists clients with a wide array of employment-related matters, including advising on employee terminations, drafting and reviewing employment agreements, separation agreements, and noncompetition agreements, revising employee handbooks and policies to comport with current law, and representing employers in wage and hour investigations conducted by the US Department of Labor. Lauren also creates and provides on-site training for managers and employees regarding compliance with federal and state employment laws.
